There are many optional extras available for our hoppers which
are explained below. Also most specialised application needs can be accommodated due to
the flexibility and bespoke nature of our products. |
|
Sight glasses
to allow easy viewing of feed levels inside the hopper. One glass is fitted
as standard to all hoppers, extra fitted as requested. |
|
Side and roof ladders
with full safety cage is available on all new hoppers. It allows access to
the roof hatch for inspection and cleaning. |
|
Outlet adapters
to suit other makes of conveyors for both new and replacement applications. |
|
Bag-off chute
for filling bags / buckets / wheelbarrows with feed. Robust construction
ensures long and maintenance free life. |
|
Side access / inspection door
allows easy access for cleaning. Doors are normally fitted in the body of the
hopper just above the cone. They are fully water proofed and have a sight
glass so that a visual check can be
made before opening that the food is below the door. There is also a ladder
rail so a hook on ladder can be attached for safety when entering the door. |

|
Our virtually unique folding chute
can be included on high level discharge hoppers used for filling mixers for
example. The folding chute reduces overall hopper height and reduces the risk
of damage to the chute as when not in use it can be folded up and away from
potential dangers, this has proved very popular with farmers and is shown be
the sequence of pictures below. |

|
The chute is pulled up out of the way so
reducing risk of damage from passing machinery. |
|
When the chute is to be used it is lowered.
Now the mixer can be driven underneath and the shut-off slide operated by
the extended handle 3’ above the base level. |

|
Ventilation system All
hoppers are fitted as standard with an exhaust pipe to allow air to escape
the hopper during filling without leaving dust of the roof. Where high
moisture content feeds are to be stored roof mounted moist air ventilators to
regulate the hoppers internal atmosphere are available (supplied as standard
on dairy hoppers). These incorporate an anti-dust valve, which automatically
shuts during filling to prevent dust venting onto the hopper roof. Once
filling is complete the valve opens to allow moist air to vent therefore
preventing condensation. |
|
Caution: Never enter a hopper without a harness & lifeline and a second
person in attendance. |
